The Upcycled Attire

Hello Girlies,

Today I was in a mood to upcycle my old clothes and create a killer look. So, I started digging into my old closet and found this red tank top that I wore for Holi. I thought of teaming it up with a beige pencil skirt and a white shrug. I absolutely love the way this look has come together. The boots added right amounts of oomph to it. I didn't quite expect the abstract pattern that the Holi colours had created on the top to look this amazing.

I think even you guys should try restyling your Holi tops that are not too soiled to throw away. The colour burst pattern that these clothes have can be reused to create some really edgy looks. While it may seem odd to you at first but trust me you guys are going to have as much fun as I did when you get down to restyle old stuff. After experimenting this I have realised that the saying, "Old is gold" is so true.

So girls, go dig out some old gems from your closets and style up something trendy straight out of your creativity. I am sure you are going to be left surprised just as I was. Don't forget to share your pictures with me in comments or on any of my social pages. I am eagerly waiting to see them.

Review: #NewSwissInTown Indian Beauty With a Swiss Kiss

Hey lovelies!

As the Summer heat is increasing degree by degree, it is getting all the more important to keep ourselves feeling fresh all the time. Its the season of body washes and body mists. Just when I needed all this very badly in my life, Swiss Tempelle sent me an adorable hamper on Women's Day.

The hamper as you can see in the picture contained a very functional jute bag, one body wash, one body lotion, three samples of body washes and lotion,  one very handy travel friendly pouch and something that I needed since longest time- a shower puff!

I have been trying all of these products since then, in order to give you a fair review of having used them all this while. Starting with the Swiss Tempelle Lotus & Alpine Rose body wash, I find it very indulging. I am glad that it doesn't have a very overpowering fragrance of rose, but instead has a perfectly mixed subtle fragrance of the two. This is currently my favourite item of the all. The shower puff that they have sent, works wonders for exfoliating the foam.

The Swiss Tempelle Summer Lotion is the next item that I apply everyday after my refreshing baths with the body wash. One thing I really like about this one is that, it being a Summer Lotion it leaves me feeling cool and refreshing. Other lotions tend to feel sticky and you start feeling irritated once you go out in sun. But this one is an exception, it makes you feel cooler all the time. It also has a fragrance that is pretty unique. It contains Khus & Sage. These are new to me and I guess this is why it has a fragrance that stands out.

The first sample that I have got is Swiss Tempelle Energy Rush Body Wash with Lemongrass, Mint & Glacier Water. When you have had a very tiring day and need an energising bath, this one's what you should be bathing with. This one will be a favourite amongst the male members in your family because of the glacier water and mint fragrance.

The second sample has not been opened yet by me because its the same one as that of the Lotus & Alpine Rose Body Wash. The third one is Swiss Tempelle Beeswax, Marigold & Almond Milk Body Lotion. I absolutely love the fragrance of this one. It magically disappears into your skin, without having to massage a lot. I love how these lotions don't make you feel sticky and oily. They leave your skin feeling supple and soft. I would really recommend you to try this one out!

I am putting the pouch to good use by stuffing all my make-up into it. It now travels with me everywhere I go. I am very grateful to Swiss Tempelle for having sent this love my way! Make sure you guys try these out as they truly are a prefect fusion of Indian and Switzerland ingredients. Let me know how you find them.

Best Buys Under 1000 bucks at fbb

Hello Chicas!

Thinking about updating your wardrobe for the Summer season? But have a limited budget to do so? Don't worry. I have picked up some really cool items from Fashion at Big Bazaar that retail under 1000 bucks. This will give you an idea about their Summer collection and also help you load up your wardrobe at a reasonable price.

1. Dhoti Skirt

I am absolutely in love with this item from fbb's latest collection. I would have never known how cool it looks until I picked it up thinking its a lehenga skirt. It was after I slipped into it that I was wowed and surprised to know that its a dhoti. I can't stop imagining all the ways I can style this one into. From super ethnic to indo western, it makes a great addition to every wardrobe. This one's a must have girls.

2.  High Low Skirt

I love how this skirt had a burgundy coral print patchwork going with a very feminine high low cut. It had to make to this list of best buys under 1000 at fbb. The fabric is perfect for summers.  It somehow gives me salsa vibes and made me wanna dance as soon as I glide into it. I think, instead if going for an ordinary cut skirt, having something like this is always a great idea.

3. Flared Skirt

Yes, fbb's skirts really caught my eyes this time! There was something unique about every piece. You have seen what an amazing collection of Palazzos they have. But what I also love about them is their skirts. This skirt is so easy going, wearable on daily basis and I feel I can go all day long in this one. Jhumkis, silver boho jewellery paired with this skirt would look so pretty.

4.  Boho Top

Boho is so much in vogue. This top was super comfy yet so stylish. I love tops with tassel knots. Who doesn't? This one seemed very sober to me. It had a beautiful floral print and as you can see it looked fab with both the dhoti as well as this skirt.

5.  A Line Top

How I wish this top was slightly longer because I would have loved wearing it all by itself as a dress. But even as a top it impressed me. It has got a lovely flare and a minimal work on top. In summers I prefer wearing tops that are not too body hugging and this one does the trick of keeping you cool.

6. Beige Crop Top & Red Shrug

Another good find at fbb was this crop top. This one again is a very airy, loose fitting, easy going top. To keep my arms protected from sun, I threw over this red shrug. It nicely brings together the whole look and is very functional for this season.

Overall the collection was something that stands out from the ordinary at the same time being the best choice to beat the summer heat. Let me know which one stole your heart in comments chicas.

Don't forget to enjoy this fun video that I shot using Boomerang :D Keep smiling.
